Whispered simultaneous translation
If you’re hosting a short event where one or two people don’t speak the common language, then chuchotage is the ideal solution.
An interpreter will whisper in the ear of one or two attendees as a person speaks.
You’ll not need to factor in extra time for translation, and you won’t require any technical support or equipment. The interpreter will make sure the translation doesn’t disturb other attendees.
If the listener wants to join the discussion, chuchotage can be alternated with consecutive interpreting.
This is the ideal solution for:
- Bilateral meetings
- Groups where some of the delegates don’t speak the common language
- Debates
- Television shows
- Meetings in quiet spaces
