Instruction manual conformity assessments and reports
Instruction manuals are extremely important documents. They are considered an essential safety requirement under EU law.
Manuals must follow the structure and content set out in Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Written instructions and images must be crystal clear. Not only that, but the quality of the document will influence how clients view the product and manufacturer.
Our expert editors have intimate knowledge of the applicable rules. They’ll check your document is clear, well-structured, and legally sound in the event of disputes or accidents.
ISO 82079-1 and other harmonised standards stipulate how manufacturers should structure and present their instruction manuals so they comply with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Are your instruction manuals compliant?
We’ll let you know!
In partnership with industry expert Studio Amb, we’ll assess your instruction manuals. We’ll then tell you whether they’re in line with UNI EN 82079-1 and ESR (Essential Safety Requisites) 1.7.4. of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Once the assessment is complete, we’ll issue a detailed compliance report for your instruction manual.
